MLB Trade Review: Phillies acquire Dickerson

The Philadelphia Phillies have acquired OF Corey Dickerson from the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for a player to be named later and international signing pool bonus money.

Dickerson is a good defender in the outfield, but his power has fallen, while his average has risen. He has had injury issues this year, and has played in just 43 games. He is a good bench player for the Phillies, and they don't trade a lot for him.

Dickerson, 30, has a .317 average with four homers, 25 RBIs and one stolen base in 141 Plate Appearances this year. In his MLB career for the Pirates, Tampa Bay Rays and Colorado Rockies, Dickerson has a .285 average, 107 homers, 336 RBIs and 23 stolen bases in 2776 Plate Appearances.

The Pirates are selling, and Dickerson is a good piece to sell, but they don't get too much. The PTBNL could be good, and the international money could become a good player, but we aren't sure what they get yet.
